ABOUT THE PROJECT
This elegant kitchen uses a combination of tempered glass cabinets with Ebony Macassar wood veneer. One of the challenges that may not be obvious from the photos is the sink wall elevation. I wall mounted the cabinets which are hovering about 8” off the floor. The wine Refrigerator is enclosed by a custom build glass support. This support(left of the Wine Ref.) had to support the countertop above while integrating with the rest of the glass aesthetic. The Ebony Macassar wood veneer is the dominate visual element when looking into the kitchen from afar. To the far right upper corner you will notice a cabinet stacked on top of another. This was necessary in order to allow for the duct work to travel to the vent exit. Since this cabinet created an asymmetrical affect which made the right side unbalanced I introduced a similar cabinet to the left side of the island in order to balance the composition.
