THE PRINTING HOUSE
KITCHEN
DESCRIPTION:
This loft apartment needed a couple of touch ups from its outdated condo conversion. There were some god awful stairs that were akin to a tree house version of stairs that my ten year old self may have constructed in my backyard. The design I came up with was simple and inexpensive. Steel structure with oak treads. The tension cable balustrade was intended to be a nod to the nearby Highline architecture.
BATHROOM
DESCRIPTION:
The bathroom was a unique challenge in that it is essentially a small walk in closet with more beams, columns, and other obstacles that would drive any designer/contractor absolutely mad. That said, we managed to squeeze everything into this space while creatively allowing for enough storage for the couple who uses it every day.
